Well good morning world! I know i haven't written in about 2 millinia but that's ok. Here I am again and I'm gonna try to get back into the swing of blogging. So to start it off...instead of it starting off as just another ordinary day at school today, my friend surprised me with the sweetest note on my desk and a cup of delicious cinnamon dolce coffee from starbucks! What an incredible way to start the day! And this has got to be my fave flav of all time!

OPEN

Ok quick update:

Reading OPEN the autobiography by ANDRE AGASSI. So far so good. He utilizes brilliant metaphors and gripping descriptions. I'm acutely feeling his hate and anger and passion. Man it just makes me wanna get out there on the tennis courts.

Also, good music worth checking out is Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros. Offers a cheerful glance to the past and a hopeful gaze into the future. I heard a live interview on KUT where the band was asked why they chose such an odd name they and supposedly there's no band member named "Edward Sharp" thats random but two "magnetic zeros" create the infinity sign so they thought that was pretty fuckin cool. I tend to agree with them. (that's the tatoo sign i'm getting inked onto my body one of these days.) On a curiosity note, one of their songs has wind chimes throughout in the

intro. Big fan of wind chimes.

"Happy" by Leona Lewis is a must hear. Listen to the power and clarity in her sultry voice. Her stage presence is sexy and graceful yet not driven by some of the more prevalent gaudy flashiness like Brittany Spears new "3".  I love how this song explores the perennial search for happiness and how love isn't always the answer.

Compare to Brittany's "3".  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmSZJ3fyKbs Brittany is definitely back in black (and white) though her old moves and group dances seem to have lost some of their novelty and electricity. So what do we think of "getting down with three P's" and "3 is a charm" I don't think her suggestive threesomes and foursomes is gonna cut it. But who knows? The power of the majority is sometimes too much to touch. Uh nice try Brittany.

All We Ever Wanted Was Everything

This treat was both flirty and fascinating. On the surface, it comes across as a flippant summer read to wile away all the extra sunbathing hours, yet it touches on some very deep issues that resonate with us all. It probes the depths of such topics as success and how we define it. Is it money, fame, beauty? Or is it cultivating quality realtinoships and taking time to enjoy the beauty in life? Everyone has to decide for themselves what dictates their happiness. I'm trying to discover for myself what really brings me joy and what i want to live my life pursuing. I highly recommend this as an entertaining and thought-provoking enjoyment! ~kes
